General Questions

  • What types of devices do you repair?

    • All types of Smartphones, Tablets and MacBooks. Please browse our services section, but if you can't find your device brand please contact your nearest location to check.

  • The glass on my device is completely shattered and is chipping off, can this be repaired?

    • Yes, the screen replacement service will replace the entire screen assembly, so the extent of the damage to your screen does not matter.

  • My device no longer responds to my touch, can this be repaired?

    • Yes, normally if you've dropped your device the 'touch digitizer' layer has been damaged and needs to be replaced. This can be repaired by replacing the full screen assembly, which includes the glass layer, touch digitizer, LCD/LED/OLED, backlight and (depending on the model) the heat shield.

  • Do you repair the glass layer only?

    • Yes, contact your nearest location to check. ​​

  • How do I know if my LCD, LED, or OLED screen has been damaged?

    • Depending on your device, the screen underneath the glass is the LCD, LED or OLED. If you see any black ink spots, lines, stripes, discoloration, yellow hues, green flashes or dead pixels; this would be a sign that the LCD has been damaged.​

  • There are multiple issues with my device, do you offer any discounts?

    • ​Yes, we offer a multi-repair discount on multiple services performed on a single device or service performed on multiple devices.

  • I have the part that needs to be replaced, can you perform the repair?

    • ​Absolutely, please bring in your parts and our technicians will be more than happy to provide you a quote and repair timeframe.

  • Do you offer repair services other than for cracked screens?

    • Of course! We offer many services other than repairing damaged screens, please browse our repair services fore more detail.

  • Do you only repair iPhones or any other products?

    • In addition to iPhone repairs, we offer repairs on a wide variety of Android devices and MacBooks. If you are interested in a repair please contact a technician at your nearest location or please browse our repair services fore more detail.​

  • How long does the repair take?​

    • Repairs will vary, but normally an iPhone screen repair will take up to 15 minutes and an Android screen repair will take​ up to 45 minutes. 

  • Can I wait while you repair or do I need to leave my device with you?​

    • Of course! We welcome all our customers to sit and watch the device being repaired in our 'open-kitchen' environment. Our technicians will happily answer any questions you may have even during the repair.

  • Do I need to back up the data on my device?​

    • No, normally on screen repairs your data will stay intact on your device.

  • Do you offer any type of warranty on your repairs?

    • Yes, all repairs carry a 30 day parts and labor warranty. Any issues related to the repair within 30 days we will take care of it free of charge! Unfortunately the warranty does not cover any new physical or water damage.

    • The warranty covers only the part(s) that were replaced. It does not cover any subsequent damage to the device or components that were not replaced.

  • Do I need to make an appointment?

    • No appointment needed, stop by any location during our regular store hours. Hours may vary, please check your nearest location for details.

  • Can I mail/ship you my device for repair?​

    • At the moment we do not accept any devices shipped to our repair locations.​

Water Damaged Devices

  • What should I do if my device falls into water or another liquid?

    • Best course of action is to do nothing. Do not attempt to turn the device on, charge the device, shake it, or try to dry it out. Next bring your device to your nearest Cheapest iPhone Repair location so our technicians can open up the device to let the liquid dry out. The sooner you can bring your device in the better our chances are at repairing the device.

  • My device fell into water, should I put it in a bag of rice or silica?

    • As long as you leave the device alone on a flat surface, you do not need to put the device into a container with any other materials. Though the device has been known to start working again on its own after being dropped into water, it was not from the rice or silica. Though the sooner you can bring your device in the better our chances are at repairing the device.

  • I dropped my phone in liquid that was not water, can this still be repaired?

    • You name it, we've seen it! From sea water to laundromat, though any liquid can be very damaging to electronic devices, there is no reason to not to bring your device in for the repair. Our diagnostics to determine the device repairability is free.

  • My device was in the water for a long period of time, is it worth repairing?​

    • Absolutely. Though the longer the device is exposed to liquid the chances for repair diminishes, we can still perform our free diagnostics to determine the success rate. ​As mentioned, the sooner you can bring your device in the better our chances are at repairing the device.

  • What is your success rate?

    • For water damaged devices, residue deposits left from the water and the corrosion/rust that begin to form on the logic board will determine each device's percentage of success.

  • If I need to repair the logic board, can you fix this?

    • Yes, we do perform logic board diagnostics and repair.​

  • How Long does water damage repair generally take?

    • Water damage repair can take anywhere from 24 to 72 hours to complete depending on the amount of damage inside the device. This estimated timeframe can vary depending on the extent of the damage to the logic board.
